2XA falls a little short.....but there is still a little good news

8/5/09

First of all – I want to THANK everyone who showed up at the commission meeting today. We had a great turnout, and most of you spoke up in support of 2XA, with great statements and some great arguments. The “Sea of White” really showed the commission that 2XA was the right proposal. Our presence there today, and the way we conducted ourselves are something that we can be proud of.

Unfortunately, even though we brought our A-Game, the commission didn’t see things our way and voted for the IPA. It’s hard to look at this in any way other than a loss, and for the guys in the northern part of the study region this loss is big and is going to hurt. While in the southern part of the study region, the differences between 2XA and the IPA are not so great. Never-the-less we did not achieve our objective, and that is not a good feeling. We played a great game, but in the end, hard ball politics simply controlled the outcome.

Looking back over the last couple of years I am pleased with our role; and in absolute awe of the work and support put in by the many guys that put 2XA together and have worked so hard to make it come true. Of that we can be proud. Our efforts were not entirely in vain – those efforts did move the process, and helped to shape the outcome – just not as much as we wanted.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
